Well hello to all my new followers! Hope you like $\LaTeX{}$ as i'm particularly fond of it and so you will see it all over my blog. My exams are finally over for this semester, and as a treat, I am going to show you another question I had to answer! However its too late tonight and I have a 9am tomorrow..... So heres a question to keep you all intrigued...
I have two children, and at least one of them is a son. What is the probability that the other is also a son?

I love the blog! This has to be the first math blog that I've stumbled upon.
Following and supporting! :)
Ugh... statistics was boring. But I'd say it's *greater* than 50%, since you're saying "at least" one of your kids is a boy.
The "at least" portion leads me to believe it's more than a neutral, even chance.
Could be completely wrong though.
I cant solve this!
Pretty sure that probability isn't influenced by the first son. So it should still be roughly 50%
nice blog idea
Shouldnt it still be %50? Although the odds of having a son is a little higher than having a daughter due to the Y chromosome being lighter and therefore faster but oh well =)
Also followed. fun blog
Hmmm, i would think it would be around 60%?
Great blog, maybe I'll even learn stuff from here.

If the answer turns out to be anything other than 50% I will be very upset :P
50% ?
I have actually used LaTeX for work. That stuff is amazing. As for the question, 100%. You didn't specify which other, and at least one of them is a boy. Cookie for me?
Also, following. :)
god just looking at that symbol makes my brain ache. Oh well, followed
